Faculty of Art and Design Graduation Ceremony and Exhibition Held with Great Enthuasiasm

Yalova University Faculty of Art and Design bid farewell to its 2025 graduates at a ceremony held at the Mehmet Okul Congress Center on June 25, 2025. The ceremony began with a moment of silence in honor of the Founder of the Republic of Turkey, Great Leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, his comrades-in-arms, and our beloved martyrs, followed by the recitation of the National Anthem. The graduation ceremony was attended by Yalova Provincial Gendarmerie Commander Colonel Ercan Altın, Yalova Provincial Police Chief Ümit Bitirik, Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Bahçekapılı, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Taner Tatar, Dean of the Faculty of Art and Design Prof. Nedret Yaşar, Vice Dean and Head of the Interior Architecture Department Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kubulay Çağatay,  Associate Dean Assoc. Prof. Dr. Orhan Erkal, Head of the Graphic Design Department Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nursel Karaca, faculty members from the Graphic Design, Interior Architecture, and Painting Departments, our faculty's graduating students, and their families.

The ceremony began at 10:00 a.m. with a moment of silence and the recitation of the Turkish National Anthem. University Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Bahçekapılı and Faculty Dean Prof. Dr. Nedret Yaşar delivered the opening speeches. Following the speech by Rozelin Tokay, who ranked first in the Faculty of Art and Design overall success ranking, Rozelin immortalized this meaningful day by nailing her plaque to the log symbolizing our graduation day. Certificates of achievement were presented to Aleyna Sofuoğlu, who ranked second in the faculty, Ezgi Bulut, who ranked third, and the students who ranked in the top three in the Graphic Design, Interior Architecture, and Painting Departments.

The Mahzen music group, founded by graduates of Yalova Fine Arts High School, performed at the event. As part of the program, faculty members presented commemorative documents to the students. The ceremony ended with the students tossing their caps. Participants had the opportunity to visit the “Faculty of Art and Design Graduation Exhibition,” which featured the creative works of the graduating students. The exhibition, opened by Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Bahçekapılı, featured the creative works of students graduating from the Painting, Graphic Design, and Interior Design departments, which were highly appreciated by the participants.

This unforgettable day marked the beginning of a new chapter for young talents promising a future filled with art. We sincerely congratulate all our graduates and wish them continued success in a creative future filled with art.
